Staff Bio
Tammy Fisher
Founder and CEO | Enrolled Agent
Balancing Act was built from real experience, not theory.
During her decades inside small businesses, Tammy has seen the same pattern play out again and again: Good people working hard, but messy systems, bad advice, or disconnected financial information held them back. Businesses failed not because of a lack of effort, but because the numbers could not be trusted.
Balancing Act exists to change that.
The Vision Behind Balancing Act
Tammy founded Balancing Act to give business owners and nonprofits financial guidance that is accurate, connected, and human.
She believes bookkeeping, tax, payroll, HR, and compliance must work together. When one area is handled incorrectly, it affects everything else. As CEO, Tammy focuses on the big picture, sets the standard for how work is done, and protects her clients today and in the long term.
Why Experience Matters
With 30 years of experience as a full-charge bookkeeper and small-business operations manager, along with her work as an Enrolled Agent, Tammy brings seasoned judgment to every decision.
She understands how financials flow into tax returns, how employment decisions affect compliance, and how small mistakes can turn into serious problems. This work matters. When you are dealing with people’s money and livelihoods, precision and foresight are paramount.
Values She Lives By
Clarity Over Chaos
Financial clarity changes everything. Tammy believes clients deserve to understand their numbers — not just receive reports. The goal is always clarity, correction, and confidence.
The Whole Picture Matters
Nothing in business operates in isolation. Bookkeeping, tax, payroll, HR, and compliance all connect. She makes decisions with the full picture in mind, so one mistake does not create bigger problems later.
People First, Always
The work is serious, but the approach does not have to be stiff. Tammy leads with honesty, humor, and care because trust is just as important as accuracy.
Build Something That Lasts
Short-term fixes are not enough. Tammy values long-term stability, strong relationships, and businesses that support their people, their families, and their communities.
How Tammy Leads
Tammy believes work should be professional but approachable. She keeps things grounded, brings perspective to stressful situations, and focuses on solutions. Every problem has an answer, and panic rarely helps anyone get there faster.
She is especially aligned with clients who value collaboration, community, and forward thinking while understanding they did not build success alone.
What Grounds Her Work
Tammy starts each day journaling and ends it with prayer. Her faith shapes how she shows up through consistency, integrity, and care. Clients do not need to share her beliefs, but they will feel them in how the work is done.
The services are technical. The foundation is relational.
